This is the first week of my internship, and it has certainly started off with a bang! After discussing my strengths with the internship supervisor, she suggested I tackle this event coming up with the library called Tricycle Music Fest. My tasks so far have been to come up with a social media plan, write and edit a press release, contact the performers for an interview, and send out the promotional graphics to all our local contacts. These all cater to my strengths because I used to work in a marketing & PR office as a Marketing Coordinator a couple years ago. So, to make an internship work with you, make sure there are tasks that you know you can do confidently. But also include some tasks that will challenge you. The latter will be discussed in a later post. Hope all of you are well!
